Evidence-Based Approaches

Lauren is extensively trained in these evidence-based methods and clinical approaches. Using a humanistic orientation, she thoughtfully integrates these tools based on each person's unique needs, goals, and life context.

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention)

ERP is a leading treatment for OCD and related anxiety. Together, we gradually face feared situations or thoughts while practicing new ways of responding, so compulsions and avoidance lose their grip over time.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

ACT helps you make space for difficult thoughts and feelings while moving toward what matters most to you. We focus on your values, present-moment awareness, and flexible ways of responding instead of getting stuck in struggle.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

CBT looks at the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We notice unhelpful patterns, test them against your real-life experiences, and practice more balanced ways of thinking and responding.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

CPT is a structured, research-based approach for trauma. We gently examine the beliefs that formed around painful experiences and work to update them, so you can relate to your past with more safety and self-compassion.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy focuses on the mind-body connection, helping you process emotions and trauma stored in the physical self. We work with movement and physical sensations to release tension and find groundedness.

Art Therapy

Art Therapy utilizes the creative process to improve mental and emotional well-being. It provides a non-verbal outlet for complex feelings, allowing you to explore inner experiences through artistic expression.

Mindfulness-Based Counseling

This approach integrates contemporary mindfulness practices with traditional counseling to help you develop a compassionate awareness of the present moment, reducing stress and increasing emotional resilience.

Transpersonal Psychology

Transpersonal Psychology integrates spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience with modern psychological theory. It explores a deeper sense of self and meaning beyond individual ego.
